Duane C. Basch, Esq.

Prior to forming Basch & Nickerson LLP, Mr. Basch was a partner with the law firm of Greenwald & Basch LLP.  Mr. Basch also served as an engineer and patent attorney at Xerox for a number of years.  In addition to patent prosecution and litigation, Mr. Basch has taught, lectured, and written articles on intellectual property law for both local and national publications.

Mr. Basch holds a B.S. degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Rochester Institute of Technology.  Mr. Basch is also a graduate of Pace University School of Law (cum laude).  Mr. Basch is licensed to practice law in New York and Connecticut and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York.

Michael J. Nickerson, Esq.

Prior to forming Basch & Nickerson LLP, Mr. Nickerson was a sole practitioner specializing in intellectual property law.  Mr. Nickerson has also served as Senior Patent Counsel at Xerox and as an associate in a Washington D.C. law firm.  Moreover, Mr. Nickerson served as a Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office after serving a brief time as an engineer with the US Department of Defense.
